Years of Russia’s full-scale war and horrific crimes against humanity have failed to awaken true unity and meaningful action in Europe. Meanwhile, Trump’s approach, which is steadily undermining America’s role as a global leader of democracy and freedom, has paradoxically succeeded in fostering a sense of urgency.

What was once referred to as “Western values” is now diminishing to mere “European values.” Can Europe endure this long-standing challenge and remain faithful to the principles that have defined it? What role does culture play in this transformation?

We will explore these and other pressing questions with prominent public intellectuals in the first installment of the Dilemma webinar series.
